I took the boys strawberry picking today. The picking was the best, I think, that I have ever seen! We picked 4 containers of berries in about 1/2 an hour! They are juicy and sweet and great to eat!

Here we are riding home with our bounty...
taking a trip under the strawberry cart
Ah, strawberry hands (too bad you can't really see his face!)

My friend Sara won tickets to a Pirate Cruise from A-Channel News. She invited us to go along and we had an amazing time!
Here are the boys with the Captain of the ship!
The trip started with a live news broadcast that we took part in. We were even spotted on the 6:00 news! After the news cast was complete we set out on the water for what I thought was a quiet cruise of the nearby area. Well it WAS pirate cruise! We spent an hour chasing enemy pirates, saving mermaids and firing cannons.

We all had a great time getting into character...
Thanks to Sara for sharing her winning tickets with us!
It was a beautiful night for a cruise!
Is there such thing as a pensive pirate?

The Annual Wilson Family Picnic was a great success this year. We had an amazing turnout and the weather was awesome! Here is Daelin & Kaeleb in a team race. Daelin had to crab walk with a dixie cup of water on his tummy. Kaeleb had to coach him so that he didn't spill. Not only did they win but they were the only team who could do it!
Daelin won a kite as one of his prizes and had a great time flying it.
This is our newest family member Zachary and his dad Tony!

Daelin and I attended BCJam 2007 -
Beavers/Cubs 100th Jamboree 2007!
There was lots to see and do and it was a full day.
We left the house at 6:30am and didn't make it home until 9:30pm

This is Daelin in his new official Campfire Poncho with the badges he has earned in Beavers so far! He already has another really big one to add!

I got the pictures a bit out of order. This was our campfire at the end of the day. We had a demonstration from a Kung-Fu group which was very interesting.
This was the pile of wood that they prepared...
...and this is the fire! It was BIG!
There was about 2500 people at the campfire that night.

This is Daelin inside an army tank!
We were honoured to have the SkyHawks perform some parachuting for us, it was an amazing show!
This is called a candycane. This guy did 14 spirals before he ran out of smoke. Believe it or not he could still land and walk a straight line when he was done! They say that the sprial was probably over 2miles long in the sky!
Here the beavers are getting a lesson in how to fold up a parachute!

This was our second trip to Wasaga this time with Mormor.
Still a bit cold for the adults to go swimming but it didn't stop the boys.
...and they made a wonderful sand castle.

We found a really nice rock to get some pictures with on the beach as well.

We had the amazing opportunity to enjoy Camp Simpresca for a weekend with Midhurst United Church. Many of our friends attend the playgroup there so we knew most of the people attending.
As you can see we had a beautiful weekend and the kids enjoyed the beach
and the sights...
and the sports!

The kids really had a great time and I think they enjoyed having lot's of friends around to play with all the time. Above is Daelin, Kaeleb & Rachel
What is a weekend away without a campfire and marshmallows!
Here is the group of kids on a nature hike.
This was our lovely little cabin in the woods!

This was our first visit to Wasaga this year. We went to a beach we've never been to before called Allenwood. The kids had lot's of fun.
It was a bit cool but that didn't stop the surf and sand activities!

Even though it was a bit cool the boys still had a great time!

We have the greatest Beaver Troop! These are our wonderful leaders and all the boys with their go-carts on race night!
Here are the race teams, beavers and their parents.
The coolest spectator!

Race night was a huge success!
Now what's wrong with this picture?
I think the boys will get lot's of use out of this go-cart!
