Here are the boys! They really enjoy each other's company and Kaeleb really misses his brother when he goes to school. Where's Dayday??

We had a very nice Easter here with Daelin & Kaeleb. There were a few unexpected suprises! Above Daelin is opening a cool Dinosaur DVD...
and Kaeleb is opening a beautiful Tractor that was sent all the way from Sweden! They also got brand new bikes! What a day!

The boys love their new bikes! Daelin has been riding his everyday since he got it. Kaeleb still has to master the finer details (like how to pedal!). I bet he'll be racing around here in no time though!
Time for lunch at Mom's Bike Stop Cafe!

oWe all had a wonderful Easter at Mormor & Buddy's house on April 15. There was an egg hunt, turkey dinner and some gifts for the kids. You are given a real advantage when you have Uncle Christian's help in an Easter Egg hunt!

The annual Easter Egg Hunt was another success. The kids had a blast and then we all enjoyed the treats inside the eggs!

Everyone had fun and filled their baskets...

Time for a break...While Moster Elisa counts the eggs to see if we've missed any.
When all was said and done, there were two that hadn't been found!

Mormor put on a great meal, there she is stirring the sweet potatoes!
Aw, don't they look sweet?? (and happy!)
Almost looks like Christmas!

Everyone had a really great time. Always nice to get everyone together!

The warm weather has let us enjoy our new playground again. There was quite a gathering this past Good Friday all the neighbourhood kids were there!

Here is the Hillview Crescent Gang!

Kaeleb and I recently took a trip to Shaw's Sugar Bush with some friends from Playgroup. It was a rainy, damp day but we had lot's of fun. We went for a walk in the sugar bush and then enjoyed some goodies afterwards. This particular sugar bush has been harvested by the shaw family for 5 generations!

Kaeleb and I are looking at a sap pail. This is the old way of collecting maple sap to cook into syrup. They would put a spout/tap into the tree so that sap would drip into the bucket. Then they would go around and empty the buckets.
Now they use a hose line like in these pictures. You can see the hoses running from tree to tree. The sap runs through the hoses and collects at a pumping station where it is then collected and made into syrup. A lot less work and probably a better yield!

Our trip ended with a visit to "Ye Olde Maple Treet Shoppe" for pancakes and maple syrup. It was very yummy!

Daelin the Egyptian Rockstar! Daelin saw this hat in Mastermind and used his remaining Christmas money to buy it. He loved it mainly because it has a cobra on it!

I had the boys in for their semi-annual portrait. They had a great time and I think it shows!

I was trying to get Daelin to give us a big smile and we were having trouble coaxing one out of him. Then I just said one word and the results are above. What was that word????
RACHEL!!!

Ah, wonderful, beautiful SPRING! nothing better than a good tractor and some great puddles! We have been taking full advantage of the nice weather (and NO bugs). The boys were out for almost the whole afternoon today!

Daelin and his best buddy Clio!

We enjoyed our first DQ of the season! It was Kaeleb's first DQ in the car. He did great not dripping once! I'm sure we'll be having more of these in the near future

We took a drive to Guelph on a beautiful day to pick up Richard's latest addition. 4 Taiwan Beauty Snakes. They are all about 6 months old and very pretty. We are now up to 9 snakes!

Tyler was very happy with a new DVD player and lot's of new DVD's to watch!
Tyler's birthday was a lot of fun and a good excuse for everyone to get together!
Can you believe that Tyler is 10 years old!

Everyone participated in the party games!
