And so was the end of an awesome day at Springwater Park!

Kaeleb's Mom & Tot's group spent a lovely morning at Wye Marsh in Midland for their end of year trip. We will definately be going back again. Not only did we have a great time but Daelin found out that they have a rattlesnake so he HAS to go see it! There are floating boardwalks all through the marsh that you can walk along and watch for the abundant wildlife that make the marsh their home.
We saw lot's of frogs, many different kinds.

The kids even got to do some "dip netting" to see what kinds of small creatures live in the marsh. We caught some tiny fish, whirly-gig beatles, water ticks and all kinds of goodies. It was a perfect end to a very enjoyable year at Mom & Tots. We can't wait to go back in September and see old friends and make some new ones as well.

The Wye Marsh has a wonderful education centre where you can learn lot's more about the animals that inhabit the marsh and surrounding areas, like turtles
They have a program for Trumper Swans as well. This is a stuffed model of a nesting swan.
Snapping turtles...
and even bears!

The kids were able to get up close and personal with a few resident animals. Above are some frogs.
Above is a nice big toad!
and, our favourite, a black rat snake!

We went to the Kindergarten Family Picnic today, can you believe that tomorrow (June 28) is Daelin's last day of school! Here he is with his teacher Ms. McCormack
Here is Daelin, Kaeleb & our neighbour Zanais
We had lunch with Rachel, her mom and her brother Jared.
The kids put on a little show for us. We got to see all the neat songs that they've learned over the year. Here they are doing the chicken dance!

Daelin's class had their end of year field trip to Elmvale Jungle Zoo
The kids got a great animal demo. First they brought out an ostrich egg.. What do you think the kids are petting? Believe it or not, this guy a really big lizzard!

This is Raymond the Green Winged Macaw
and another one of Daelin's favourite a Burmese Python! and he's only a baby!

These guys were a really big hit! The little tiger is only 3 months old.
and this lion is 2.5 months old.

The kids enjoyed all the sights and got good use of the binoculars they made in school especially for this trip. Daelin was all decked out in his safari gear!

The kids were all paired up as buddies for the day. Daelin was paired up with Rachel (which he was VERY happy about). I asked them if they got to pick their own partners. Rachel said "No, Ms. McCormack picked our partners. We were REALLY hoping we'd be buddies though" Isn't that cute??
Daelin, Rachel, Christie & Kaeleigh

The White Tigers were Daelin's favourite of the day. He is still talking about them. We are already planning a trip with Daelin, Rachel and their two little brother's sometime over the summer. I guess its safe to say they had a great time.

We had our annual Wilson Family Picnic this past Father's Day. The weather was perfect we had a great turnout and had lot's of good eats, and great fun!

Buddy even got to open some presents since he was the man of the hour for Father's Day!

The boys had a lot of fun with this one, they had to chew the candy off the string and it was a race against about 10 other kids. Daelin was second even though he thought that the sour candies were gross!

Daelin participated in the ball & spoon race. As you can see he is the youngest contestant (Kaeleb didn't actually race) and he took 3rd place fair and square! Not even a head start!!! That's my boy!
The Thomas Team took part in the 4legged race, we did great! Finished with all 3 of us still standing and our ties in place!

Daelin & Kaeleb had fun playing soccer...
Tyler mellowed out to his favourite tunes...
These two guys had a great time and are looking forward to next year's picnic already!

Just Max-Relax time at the Zoo!

Daelin's snake Shadow had a shed recently. As you can see she's getting big!
