This is a belated xmas gift for the boys. We had been looking for a couch but when I saw these at Zhers I thought they were even better! Too cute, thanks Jack & Carol!

This past weekend we celebrated my grandmother's 90th birthday. She was surrounded by family and friends for the event.
They mayor of Orillia paid a visit and presented her with a beautiful plaque commemorating her 90th!
The Mayor of New Tecumpseh was there as well with a certificate for her 90th!

Here is Mor with her "kids" Johna (Farmor - my aunt), Ramon (my uncle) and Ruth (my mom)

What a treasure this picture is, Daelin Kaeleb & their Great Grandmother!

This is Mor and all her Grandchildren.

Here is dad and the boys!
Daelin was very happy to see Sara there, after falling so in love with her at Christmas. It took him some time to get the nerve to go over to her table, but once he got there he was up in her lap. Too cute...

Bear for short...
June 03, 1996 - January 25, 2006

Our dear sweet bear, who was always such a good dog, we will miss you so much. You have left a space in our hearts and in our home that will never be filled. Neriol misses you as we all do but we know that you are here with us still..

That when you die your life goes on,

It doesn't end here when you're gone,

Every soul is filled with light,

It never ends and if I'm right,

Our love can even reach across eternity

I believe, I believe...

My old friend, this songs for you,

Cause a few simple verses, was the least that I could do

To tell the world, that you were here

Cause the love and the laughter,

Will live long after,

All of the sadness and the tears,

We'll meet again, my old friend...

I miss you so much Tundra, I still can't believe that you are gone. I wish you peace and joy on the other side with your brother, Axel, Star, Blugh and all the others who have gone before you. As I've said before and I'll say again and again, we'll meet again I know we will and what a reunion it will be!

Until then, peace, my old friend...

I couldn't let the 5 year mark pass without a tribute to my dear old friend Blugh
The picture above was taken at his 30th birthday party, he soooo enjoyed that day.
Although the pain of losing him as softened over time, I miss him just as much today as the day he died...

One more day, one more time, one more sunset maybe I'd be satisfied.

But then again, I know what it would do...

Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you.

The picture above was taken of us in our younger years, the picture below just a couple years before he crossed over. He was my best friend, the best horse anyone could have ever asked for. I always said that I'd always have a horse, I thought that it was having a horse that I loved so much. After Blugh left I realized that it wasn't just having a horse, it was having Blugh.

Every now and then, soft as breath upon my skin

I feel you come back again

And it's like you haven't been gone a moment from my side,

Like the tears were never cried.

Like the hands of time are holding you and me.

And with all my heart I'm sure, we're closer than we ever were

I don't have to hear or see, I have all the proof I need.

There are more than angels watching over me,

I believe, I believe...

I miss you so, my old friend, we'll meet again, this I know as you have told me so...

on the other side, where you wait for me, what a reunion there will be!

Here is a picture that I just had to share. Daelin & Kaeleb enjoying their new bedding that they got from Annett in Sweden (thanks Annett - they LOVE their new bedding).

I had to share my "creepcakes" that I made for Daelin to take to school for his birthday. They turned out really cool and the kids loved them!

Daelin's birthday started off with presents! He finally got his T-Rex Mountain which he's been waiting for since at least last November! He played and played and played until it was time to go out for lunch. The next few additions to the blog show you what we did to celebrate his 5th birthday! Can you believe he's 5 years old!!!

I took Daelin to Moose Winooski's for his birthday lunch. He was all set to have them come out and sing happy birthday to him until he saw what they made someone else do. He went through with it after all and even bragged about it after. I think the pictures below speak for themselves!

Daelin invited some of his friends to the local indoor playground for a birthday party on Saturday Jan 21. As you will see from the pics it was a lot of fun!

Here is Daelin's birthday cake that I made for him. It is modelled to look like his snake Shadow. For those of you who asked, I used two bundt cakes, cut one on an angle and layerd them. Used the reserved cake to make the head and decorated. Not a terribly difficult cake but tricky nonetheless. I almost had an emergency when the head started to crack off during the decorating stage. It needed to be better supported by the body but I was unable to move it at that point. Luckily I had some shish ka bob sticks in the kitchen and about 4 of them inserted throughout the head held it in place really well.

The really funny thing was the kids reactions when we put the cake on the table. First they asked if I made it and I said yes. Then two of the kids said they didn't want any so I said ok. Then one little boy said "what if I don't like it?" I told him he didn't have to eat it so he said ok, he's have a piece. If you look at the picture you'll see a little girl with a black dress on, well she watched very carefully as I cut the cake (she was one of the kids who didn't want a piece). When she saw the boy next to her bite into his and realized that it was just a chocolate cake after all, she relented and had a piece. I wonder just what they were thinking would happen when I cut that cake open!!! Too funny...

The family got together at Mormor and Buddy's house for some cake and coffee to celebrate Daelin's birthday. It was a great time and we all had fun!

Daelin especially loved his Batman cake. I didn't make this one, I figured one fancy cake was enough for me!

Uncle Christian was reliving his childhood with Daelin's new HUGE tub of Tinkertoys! Daelin wants to know when Uncle Christian is coming over to play!

Tiffany really enjoyed her piece of cake!

No New Year's Eve would be complete without our annual Chinese Food Feast with my parents (Thanks for the great meal!).
Marisa, Bjerne, Farmor & Mor!
Boy did he enjoy that eggroll!

Ok, so here I am in one of my new Christmas outfits!

Every year I always joke that we are halfway to being Jewish as our Christmas lasts for 3 days. Christmas Eve is traditionally spent at my parents house, Christmas Day is spent at home with our family and Boxing Day is spent with the Thomas clan. This year was extra special as we were able to spend Boxing Day with Great Grandma Isabel and Great Grandpa Paul. They are usually in Florida! They got to meet Kaeleb for the first time. Enjoy the pics!
